When someone's resume looks like this:

Bachelor's Degree
Master's Degree
Doctoral Degree
Author
Keynote Speaker
Coach

I don't trust a word they say.

They spent a lifetime reading books and listening to lectures only to regurgitate the info into their own books and speeches. 

Watch out for these people. 

They often have zero actual experience.

This doesn't mean education is meaningless, it's not, but lookout for those who only have education on their resume and the rest is writing books and giving speeches.

Some of their advice may be ok but without real experience there's no perspective.
